Recently we introduced full iPad support for Notecards. If you choose to use Notecards exclusively on your iPad, it will now work just as well as it does on a phone. However, if you are planning to use Notecards on *both* your iPad and your iPhone, there are some things you should be aware of.
An interesting feature of Notecards is the ability set timers for your study session. For example, you can set a timer to automatically flip to the back of each card after 5 seconds as a way to force quick recall. Let's take a detailed look at how to configure study timers and what options we have.
When developing the add new card screen in Notecards we worked hard to make it as efficient as possible. I want to draw your attention to the ability to create several cards quickly on your mobile device.
Notecards has the ability to read cards to you as you study. This can give you an extra memory queue as well as, with the combination of the study timers feature, allow you to review your cards without looking at the device.
Recently we introduced a “news” section on the home screen of Notecards. Our goal with this section is to enhance your experience with the app and ultimately your ability to learn. But, if you find it distracting, we also provide a setting to turn it off.
Notecards has more powerful organizational tools than it may seem at first glance. We always strive to make the interface easy to use, but we also account for more advanced users. A perfect example of this is the way folders work.
Our favorite method of memorizing something new is to use the Start Small study method. It prevents you from being overwhelmed with too many things to memorize at once.
Do you ever get frustrated using the small keyboard on your phone? Well, a great alternative for entering your content is to use dictation. In this tutorial, I will show you how!
Did you know that you can shake your phone to undo the last card you just marked while studying? Well, now you do! If you give your phone a shake after marking a card, you should see an alert giving you the option to go back.
We are happy to announce (officially) that Notecards now supports sending cards to other users! To send cards to other people, you will have to create an account with us. To make this as easy as possible, we only ask for your email address. Once your account is created, you can send cards to anyone else (including people that have not yet created an account).
